I have a special treat for you!! A New Artist & Sneak Peek Alert!

Hello everyone! Are you all busy working on your cards for the Challenge? I hope so! I see we already have a couple of cards submitted, you gals are on the ball. Very nice work I might add.

Well, today in my post I want to introduce to you one of the new artists at The Pixie Cottage.

Her name is Tina Akonom and we will soon have several of her stamps in stock. HERE
Tina has been paper-piecing and selling scrapbook pages on ebay for some time now, I would say five years or more. Her paper piecings have become very popular, so it was a logical move to ask her draw some of them for stamps. If you check her blog HERE you will see some of sneak peek stamps in the form of paper piecings. You are really going to love these as stamps. They should be in my store as preorders within a week, and arriving sometime towards the end of the month or early November. I am lucky to have become friends with Tina over the last several years and not only is she a talented artist but also a great person. She has often been my sounding board and always gives me her honest opinion. (Thanks Tina!) It is hard to portray someone acurately with just a few sentences, so stop over at her blog and get to know her a bit.

Here is a collage of snippets of a few of her stamps. And if you want to see one of her stamps in action stop by my friend Jan's Blog HERE

Saturday Design Team Showcase...Fall Theme

Today is the first Saturday of The Pixie Cottage Design Team Showcase!

Every other Saturday the Design Team will showcase some of The Pixie Cottage stamps, with a particular theme in mind. (Today's is fall... of course) We will also try to provide you with some cards that use the newest released stamps. (Even sometimes before they are available for sale!)

Also, get ready for our Once Upon a Wednesday Challenge! Kristen will be setting that up here on this blog this week, so watch for details. Just so you know you will be welcome to use any stamps in this challenge and I will be providing the prizes! Of course the wonderful gals on the design team will be providing examples for the challenge!!

So without further ado....here are their works of art for the first Designer Showcase!

Tara Welch did a great job with this Little Witch stamp by Alisa Ramirez

And look what Risa West has done!! This South End Girl Stamp is from Andrea T. Seiler

Remember I promised you cards with images from our new artist Eileen Gutierrez... here is one. This cute little card is from Kristen Kelsey... using the Fall Friend stamp.

This one, also by Kristen, uses the Hoppy Halloween stamp, also by Eileen.

Renata Elenbaas has given us her version of how this stamp can be used also. This froggie is such a cute little fellow.

Tammy Maynard made this wonderful plaque (I wonder if one of her sweet little granddaughers will get this?) Little Witchy from Tricia Moore can be found HERE

Katie Tate did a wonderful job of making this What A Doll stamp by Alisa Ramirez into a fall themed card... so you see a doll with a heart in her hand can really be used for any season.. also stop by her blog to see the card she post with the Hannah Witch Stamp

Andrea T. Seiler did a wonderful job of creating her card with a stamp she designed herself! This gal has got such talent I tell you!

Peggy Russell did a wonderful job with Hannah the Witch by Sandra Hammer. This is a nice large size stamp. Look for more Hannah stamps HERE
And Anne Lysheim did a great job with this Fall Wagon Wheel stamp by Sandra Hammer, she has also put together an adorable card with the Cuddly Cute stamp, so stop by her blog to check that out.

I want to thank the design team for jumping right on board here at The Pixie Cottage and showing us all their wonderful talent! They were given very little time to get these cards together. I know these ladies all have other responsibilities like jobs, children, families and other design teams they are comitted to, so I was thrilled with their submissions!

Everyone have a great weekend... and hope to see you at this weeks challenge!

Michelle

Pixie Blog Candy... thanks Tanya!

I just wanted to stop by and let you know that Tanya has PIXIE BLOG CANDY to give away.
I want to say thanks to Tanya. (for everything!!) It is so heartwarming to have gotten to know some of the great people out there that craft. Tanya is one of those people. She has been nothing but encouraging and nice to me, and I consider myself lucky to have "met" her. Funny how everyone warns you to be "careful" on the internet, but you never hear any stories about the GOOD people out there.
Well Tanya is one of those good people.... Stop by for a chance to win some of her candy, and to read about everyone's Halloween memories.
Oh and be watching the Pixie Blog for a great Blog Candy Giveaway this month!
Good night, Michelle
