The Pixie Cottage Design Team

Well, I know you have all been waiting to see who is on The Pixie Cottage design team and I apologize for the delay. I had to look and re look at every one's work. There was just such talent to choose from. I want to thank everyone for applying and tried to send everyone an email today for whom I had an email from. I apologize if I missed anyone, a few people posted here and did not email their information, and a few emailed me who did not post here, so I am sorry if I somehow missed anyone.

Joining my friends Kristen Kelsey of Queen of Nostalgia and Andrea Seiler from Andrea T. Designs A Paper Boutique on the design team will be:

Pam Limric of Stamps, Inc

Tara Welch of Happily Ever Crafting

Renata Elenbaas of CreaRenata

Risa West of Life's Simple Pleasures

Tammy Maynard of Life Enjoy It

Anne S. F. Lysheim of Skaperglede i Anne`s hobbyhule

Congratulations and thank you to these talented ladies. I cannot wait to see what designs they come up with for the stamps! I was going to post a sneak peek of a new stamp tonight but am having computer problems and am on another computer tonight, so it will have to wait:(
But I will direct you to my friend's blog HERE . If you haven't seen Jan's work before you are in for a treat. She has recently done several cards with Pixie Cottage stamps and they came out just fabulous.

Another Card to Share

It sure takes me a long time to get anything finished. I colored this image before I went on vacation and had all the pieces and parts sitting out waiting for my return. After pushing it aside for over two weeks I finally have it done and a picture of it to share.
I really like the image (Hannah Witch by Sandra Hammer). However,
I am not sure if I have done her justice. I tried to make a vintage looking card, but I do nowhere near as good a job as my friend Kristen (aka Queen of Nostalgia) Lucky for me she has agreed to help out with my design team and this blog. The girl is so creative and nobody does vintage like she does.... I mean NOBODY. So Kristen....I cannot wait to see what you do with a Pixie Cottage stamp.
I will be posting another card on my personal blog. It also has a Pixie Cottage stamp on it, but since I am entering a challenge I should post it there. It has the cutest image from Alisa Ramirez on it. It is called Little Sweet Pea, and until now has not been shown. So this will be Little Sweet Pea's debut. I will be putting her up for sale HERE next week. So stop over and have a look at that card too if you have time.

Coming Soon..... what a cutie

Okay I am back on the cutie stamp kick. I just wanted to show you one of the stamps that is coming soon to The Pixie Cottage collection. It is illustrated by Alisa Ramirez and is another adorable fairy. I will be putting her up for preorder and hope to have her in about three to four weeks. I will post a couple of cards to share with you in the next few days. I have to get pictures snapped of them.

On a side note, I am always happy to sponsor challenges. AND I hope to soon start a challenge here.
I promise to be announcing the design team before Tuesday.
Goodnight everyone!
Michelle

A Cute Little Guy

Hello everyone!! I have a little treat for your tonight. First of all, I received my first shipment of rubber, and have many of The Pixie Cottage stamps now in stock.
Secondly, anyone that knows me, knows that I adore cute little girlie stamps, pink paper, ribbon and lots of flowers. I have a hard time making a scrapbook page for my boys, or a male themed card. So .... sometimes things get overlooked in my mind... cute little boy stamps, scenery stamps, and anything overly rugged or manly. Oh, don't worry I haven't neglected my handsome sons, it is just that they are grown and out of the house. However, my princess is right here to keep all the girly accoutrements fresh in my mind, and there just must be a froo-froo girl hidden deep down inside me somewhere.

So without further ado, I want show you some of the non-girly stamps!

First is a cute little vampire by Tricia Moore. He goes nicely with her Little Witchy stamp.

I also have to share one of my favorite stamps. The Dock by Sandra Hammer. This stamp is the perfect size to accommodate all your Tilda stamps (you see you can make this girly too! LOL), or it would be perfect alone. It is a larger size stamp, and will be a lot of fun to color.

So there you have it, some great images for everyone to enjoy.

I will have several new images to share in another week or so along with the names of the Design Team members.

Have a great night/day

Michelle

Just a quick post to say thank you

I wanted to thank all the talented ladies that applied to be part of The Pixie Cottage Design Team. I will be looking over everyones blogs and information again and will make an announcement before the month is over. If it becomes too hard for me to decide, I have a couple of gals that will be helping me who are a part of The Pixie Cottage.
I also wanted to mention I have a couple of new images to share soon.
And if you would like a chance to win some of the PC stamps stop over at A Spoonful of Sugar Challenge this week.

Well I wasn't just teasing you!

Remember the sneak peeks? Well, I wasn't just teasing.... here are the witches I have coming in with my first shipment. Now I haven't had these up for preorder in my store yet, but I will add them this week since I hope to have them in by Friday.

The first witch is by Tricia Moore. You might know Tricia from her amazing paper piecing patterns she sells through myscrapchick. She also has a cute little vampire boy coming in the next shipment. Tricia is kind enough to offer free paper-piecing patterns on her website, so just click on her name to visit her blog.

The next little witch is Hannah. She was drawn by Sandra Hammer. Sandra has such an ability to draw different styles it amazes me. Her paper piecings she designs and pieces are amazing. You can visit Sandra on ebay to buy some of her creations.

Sandra has also introducted Sarah the witch to us this month. Sarah I would say is a preteen witch. (Kind of like my 10 year daughter at times!)

Now the last Little Witch is from Alisa Ramirez. It is easy to see why Alisa's distinct style is so popular. She also sells paper-piecing patterns in addition to premade pieces. Stop by her website by clicking on her name. You wont be disappointed.

I do have another witch coming with the next shipment. Many of you probably recognize the distinct style of this stamp artist. Have you visited the queen of nostalgia's blog? Not only can she draw, but she makes the most lovely nostaligiac cards. She also is a talented story teller and blogger. Kristen has agreed to help me out with not only designing stamps, but also with my design team and with this blog. Which I am sure you can see, sorely needs HELP!

Now I have to say I have several other talented artists on board that I CANNOT WAIT to introduce to you. The common thread with these ladies is not only their awesome talent, but that they are great people. I have had the privilege of getting to know all of them over the last several years. I consider it an honor to work with each and every one of them. I not only consider them people I "work" with, but also friends.

Now tell me everyone, which witch (that is a tongue twister) is your favorite and why?

I have recently found out that Halloween is not celebrated by a lot of my fellow paper artists in other countries, and I know you wont be able to enjoy these stamps in the way we Americans might, and for that I apologize, but I promise to have lots of Autumn, Winter and Christmas stamps coming soon!

Enjoy your week!

A New Card To Share!!!

Hello!! I am back! I cannot belive how fast time flies by. I have had this card to share for awhile now but haven't found the time to take a picture and post it. The is What A Doll by Alisa Ramirez. One of The Pixie Cottage stamps that will be coming in late next week! Yes, I have heard from my stamp manufacturer and the first batch of stamps are done!!

Also coming will be most of the witch stamps, and here sits a card 3/4 of the way done with the cutest little witch on it, drawn by Sandra Hammer.

You know I have to say I am just in awe of all of the artists that send me their drawings, what a gift! I am so happy to have them working with me, and the thing is I have gotten to know most of these gals over the last several years and not only are they talented, but genuinely nice people.

Well the time draws near for the deadline on applications for the design team! Sept 15th, so hurry up if you have not posted your link on the Design Team post below, and also email at thepixiecottage@aol.com with your information. I am seeing some wonderful art and will have a heck of a hard time picking from all the wonderful submissions I have gotten so far.

Hope to be back early next week to post the witch card, and will put the stamps up for sale then too!
