Saturday Showcase of Cards

Good morning everyone! Hope you are enjoying your weekend. It is time again for the Saturday Showcase!! This week we decided to go with a winter theme, and you are lucky enough to see some of the brand news stamps being released very soon at The Pixie Cottage

So here we go....First is this lovely card by Risa. The Image is by Sandra Hammer and is called Hannah's Sled. It is available for preorder HERE It should be shipping in about two weeks.

Now look at this card, adorable isn't it? Tammy created this work of art! I think everyone loves this litte reindeer stamp from Alisa Ramirez. This is also available for preorder.

And one of the images from our new Illustrator Tina Akonom. Didn't Renata do a wonderful job on this? I love how she did the snow, and fur trim on the coat. And I do have a soft spot for pink Christmas cards.

And another card from Renata!
This time she used one of the cute new stamps soon to arrive by Eileen Guitierrez

And you see Katie couldn't resist little Rudolph either!

And Pam chose an adorable image from Tina Akonom.

And here Anne has shown another cute card with Alisa's reindeer stamp.

Peggy
Look at this card! I love Alisa's Fairy, and Peggy just makes her come to life and puts a whole new Christmas spin to that stamp!
And last but certainly not list is Kristen's card

I just had to add this card from Tara
Isn't it gorgeous?

Please check my store for these stamps HERE

If they are not up for presale now they will be available later this week.

And check back Wednesday for a new sketch for the Pixie Challenge, and also to find out the winner of the last challenge. There is still time to enter!

Welcome Another Artist and a wonderful Card

Happy Friday everyone. The weekend is here, and I have some exciting news. Yet another talented artist has joined us at The Pixie Cottage..... Welcome ArTish. She brings a new type of stamp to The Pixie Cottage, a unique style all her own, and I am so happy to welcome her. She has been selling adorable paper piecings and handmade scrapbook pages on ebay for several years and has decided to branch of into illustrating stamps. (How lucky for The Pixie Cottage)Here is snippet of some of her stamps that will be coming soon. I will put these up for preorder in the next week or so.

-------------------------------------------

So many exciting things going on. My friend Tanya had some blog candy a couple of weeks ago, and gave away two adorable Pixie Stamps by Tricia Moore. Tanya emailed me and directed me to a blog this morning. The blog was that of the winner of the blog candy, Nancy. She made such an extraordinary card with these stamps I had to share it below. If you have time click on her name and go over and take a look at her blog, she has so many adorable cards, real eye candy!

By the way Tanya does have some blog candy up right now so click on over to her blog.

So what is new with you? Have you posted a card on your blog with a Pixie stamp that you would like to share? Please post a link, I would love to see it, and be sure to get in on our Once Upon A Wednesday Challenge (see prior post for the sketch) if you haven't already. Oh, and don't forget to check back tomorrow for our Saturday Showcase of cards made with Pixie stamps in a winter theme.

Take care and have a great weekend, Michelle

Just a reminder that the Pixie Cottage Challenge is taking entries until Sunday night, midnight EST. Exciting and new, challenges are posted every-other-Wednesday. You still have time to make your card with this sketch.

We are tickled to see all the great cards that have been made so far! A random winner will get some fabby stamps, and three others get a cutie blog button to show they were a Top Three cardmaker. You have until Sunday night to get this sketch up and loaded to the Pixie Cottage blog, and then the winners, along with the new challenge, will be revealed on Wednesday, October 28. Come play with the Pixies!

Here is the little button for the challenge - feel free to snag it and put on your blog :) Just right click, save, and load and link it to this site :)

I have a special treat for you!! A New Artist & Sneak Peek Alert!

Hello everyone! Are you all busy working on your cards for the Challenge? I hope so! I see we already have a couple of cards submitted, you gals are on the ball. Very nice work I might add.

Well, today in my post I want to introduce to you one of the new artists at The Pixie Cottage.

Her name is Tina Akonom and we will soon have several of her stamps in stock. HERE
Tina has been paper-piecing and selling scrapbook pages on ebay for some time now, I would say five years or more. Her paper piecings have become very popular, so it was a logical move to ask her draw some of them for stamps. If you check her blog HERE you will see some of sneak peek stamps in the form of paper piecings. You are really going to love these as stamps. They should be in my store as preorders within a week, and arriving sometime towards the end of the month or early November. I am lucky to have become friends with Tina over the last several years and not only is she a talented artist but also a great person. She has often been my sounding board and always gives me her honest opinion. (Thanks Tina!) It is hard to portray someone acurately with just a few sentences, so stop over at her blog and get to know her a bit.

Here is a collage of snippets of a few of her stamps. And if you want to see one of her stamps in action stop by my friend Jan's Blog HERE

Saturday Design Team Showcase...Fall Theme

Today is the first Saturday of The Pixie Cottage Design Team Showcase!

Every other Saturday the Design Team will showcase some of The Pixie Cottage stamps, with a particular theme in mind. (Today's is fall... of course) We will also try to provide you with some cards that use the newest released stamps. (Even sometimes before they are available for sale!)

Also, get ready for our Once Upon a Wednesday Challenge! Kristen will be setting that up here on this blog this week, so watch for details. Just so you know you will be welcome to use any stamps in this challenge and I will be providing the prizes! Of course the wonderful gals on the design team will be providing examples for the challenge!!

So without further ado....here are their works of art for the first Designer Showcase!

Tara Welch did a great job with this Little Witch stamp by Alisa Ramirez

And look what Risa West has done!! This South End Girl Stamp is from Andrea T. Seiler

Remember I promised you cards with images from our new artist Eileen Gutierrez... here is one. This cute little card is from Kristen Kelsey... using the Fall Friend stamp.

This one, also by Kristen, uses the Hoppy Halloween stamp, also by Eileen.

Renata Elenbaas has given us her version of how this stamp can be used also. This froggie is such a cute little fellow.

Tammy Maynard made this wonderful plaque (I wonder if one of her sweet little granddaughers will get this?) Little Witchy from Tricia Moore can be found HERE

Katie Tate did a wonderful job of making this What A Doll stamp by Alisa Ramirez into a fall themed card... so you see a doll with a heart in her hand can really be used for any season.. also stop by her blog to see the card she post with the Hannah Witch Stamp

Andrea T. Seiler did a wonderful job of creating her card with a stamp she designed herself! This gal has got such talent I tell you!

Peggy Russell did a wonderful job with Hannah the Witch by Sandra Hammer. This is a nice large size stamp. Look for more Hannah stamps HERE
And Anne Lysheim did a great job with this Fall Wagon Wheel stamp by Sandra Hammer, she has also put together an adorable card with the Cuddly Cute stamp, so stop by her blog to check that out.

I want to thank the design team for jumping right on board here at The Pixie Cottage and showing us all their wonderful talent! They were given very little time to get these cards together. I know these ladies all have other responsibilities like jobs, children, families and other design teams they are comitted to, so I was thrilled with their submissions!

Everyone have a great weekend... and hope to see you at this weeks challenge!

Michelle
